About Beautiful Feet
Our Mission Statement
Beautiful Feet International exists to spread the Good News of God’s love by founding, training, and equipping pregnancy ministries worldwide.

The Heartbeat of Our Ministry
Since 2000, we have been leading teams on mission trips around the world. Our vision has always been to take people of all ages and walks of life into “all the world” to fulfill the Great Commission. Our trips are reasonably priced, safe, and are always focused on evangelism. No previous experience is necessary to be a part of one of our trips!
Since our first pregnancy center opened in 2013, we have felt the Lord directing the ministry to be much more focused on these centers, which literally bring life into the communities they are established in. We now have over 50 centers around the world. The majority of our mission trips are to the pregnancy centers, working with and training the nationals who run them.
Safety for the team is always of utmost concern. Twice we have changed our destination due to political unrest. We are always alert and prepared to cancel anything that would place any team member in danger.

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who can bring good news!"
Romans 10:13-15
What We Believe
-
The Bible is the infallible, authoritative Word of God and that it is inspired by the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 1:1)
-
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit empowers us to live Godly lives and to express our personal faith in good works. (Mathew 28:19; Mathew 3:16-17; Galatians 4:4-6; Genesis 1:1-2; John 15:26; Ephesians 2:10; James 1:20; James 2:17-18)
-
We believe in the humanity and deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious crucifixion and atoning death, His bodily burial and resurrection. We believe in His personal ascension to the right hand of the Father where He now ministers as our Great High Priest and His future personal return to the earth in power and glory. (John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:1-6; Hebrews 7:26; Luke 21:27; Revelation 22:20)
-
There is only one way to salvation, and that is through Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross. “Whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life”. (Hebrews 5:9; John 3:16; John 14: 6; Ephesians 2:13; Romans 10:13)
-
Man is created in the image of God, and each child in the womb is personally known and formed by God. God is the giver of Life. Human Life begins at conception, and is a treasure from God to be nurtured and protected. (Genesis 1:27; Acts 17:25; Psalm 139)
-
Because of the Fall, each member of the human race is sinful and in need of salvation. Salvation is a gift of God, based upon the finished work of Christ on the cross. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9; Ephesians 2: 1-5, 12-13; Romans 3:9-18, 23, 27; Romans 4: 1-4; Titus 3:4-5; 2 Timothy 1:8-9; Isaiah 44:20)
-
We believe in the resurrection of the saved to everlasting life and the resurrection of the unsaved to everlasting damnation. (John 4:36)
-
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. He is our head and we are the body, made to accomplish His works. (Ephesians 1:10; Ephesians 1:20-23; Ephesians 4:3-6)
-
We believe that there is One God and One Mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus. His sacrifice for our sins was once for all and eternal. (Hebrews 10:10, 12-14; Romans 3:30; 1 Timothy 2:5; Romans 6:10)

Our Vision

From the President and Founder of BFI, Melissa Heiland:
My husband and I formerly served as missionaries in Central America with the International Mission Board (SBC). We had a call from God for overseas missions and we sold our house and most of our belongings and moved our family to Costa Rica. After one year, the Lord clearly told us to return to the U.S. It was very difficult for us and we resisted this for months. Only after much fasting, tears, and prayer did we surrender to the Lord to stay in the U.S. People ask if it was difficult to leave our lives in America. The answer is not really, but it was heartbreaking to leave the mission field. I could not understand why God would place such a strong call to missions in our hearts and then tell us to live in the U.S.
Since then, I have come to understand that He desires for us to spread His vision for the lost souls of the world and to lead others to go. God has given us the privilege of leading hundreds of teams to share the gospel around the world.
Although we have done VBS, medical clinics, drama, youth ministry, hut-to-hut evangelism and English teaching, as well as conducted eye clinics in 3rd world countries, we have found that bringing the gospel through pregnancy center ministries is one of the most effective ways to reach a community for Christ. We currently have over 60 centers established outside the U.S., staffed by trained national volunteers. We visit them with teams regularly to conduct training and various ministries to spread the Good News. We strive to be all things to all people in order to spread the gospel, as Paul said.
Decisions about where to go are made through much prayer. Whenever I meet and talk to people, I am looking to see if God will open a place for us to go or will use this person on a future team. God has brought people into my life and opened doors of ministry to places I would never have dreamed of going, including closed communist and Muslim countries. We believe that as we sacrifice our time, money, and personal conveniences to minister the gospel to those who have never heard, we are blessed beyond measure.
